10 Nov 06 (Veteran's Day Holiday - Friday)

The NRP Elk Cruise to Elk County, PA was held on a sunny day with temps in the mid-60's. 10 bikes participated: Gene Lauri, Tom D. King, Dave Dix, Chris Kepler, Al Klinger, Bill Filer, Jerry Learn, Brad Woodring, Jon Polay and Woody. We left KMS at 10:30AM, met a few riders at Port Matilda, met Brad at the P-burg Sheetz and Jerry at the Clearfield Sheetz. The route was planned by Chris. The only elk we saw was the mounted one inside the Elk View Diner - but some of us also had their "Elk Burgers."  Got back to State College about 4PM after 190 miles. Thanks to the weather, the other riders and the route, it was a very enjoyable way to spend the day. Other photos may be posted here when available.
