15 Feb 06

Kissell Motorsports unveiled the new Triumph Daytona 675 on 15 Feb 06, complete with Britbrews and snacks. We also checked out their great new Scrambler. It was fun just being around the bikes and talking with fellow riders, itching for Spring.

"2nd Sunday Restaurant Run" to the Lewisburg, PA. 5 bikes with 6 riders braved the chilly temps for the Spring Opener. Brrr. Something for everyone, including a route that included a dirt road (oops!). 140 miles of fun and we got back at 3:45PM. Still had time to wash the bike afterwards, courtesy of the dirt road. Super restaurant and good route (except for that dirt road).

Riders: Bill Ozanich, Bill Brickley, Michael Corsello, Carl and Cindy Milliron, Woody.

"2nd Sunday Restaurant Run" to Skeeter's Pit BBQ in Shamokin Dam, PA. 6 bikes with 8 riders. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon - traveling 166 miles with a great group, returning to Happy Valley about 4PM.

Riders: Zano, Andrew, John J., Barry Karchner, Richard & Ian Button, Woody & Ann.

"Quaker Steak & Lube Bike Nite" featuring static displays from the Triumph Demo Truck. What a turnout with a great range of 2-wheeled hardware.

The Triumph Factory Demo Truck visited Kissell Motorsports for 3 days. Thursday was a rain-out, but Friday was super. On Friday, Triumph staffers Randall Brewster and (Driver) Jesse worked with Craig & Cody for an outstanding day. Bill Ozanich helped lead the demo-ride groups on 16-mile loops on Friday & Saturday. (The photographer was out-of-town on Sat., so no info is available about that day.)

This was a 4-day solo ride on the Tiger to camp 2 nights near Frederick, MD, attend the Classic British & European MC Show at Butler's Orchard, then ride across to Morgantown WV to camp at Cooper's Rock State Park and visit  daughter Erin at WVU. Had perfect weather, a super show, 700 miles of great roads and frost at nights (Brrrr). Also stopped at Harper's Ferry National Historic Site for a short visit enroute across to Mo-town. BTW, those "Mountain House" brand freeze-dried meals are surprisingly good, too.

This was an impromptu Memorial Day Ride to Richley's Dairy (ice cream) in Martinsburg, PA. The 105-mile ride included Bill Brickley on his BMW, John Johnston on his T-100, and Woody & daughter Megan on the Tbird. Photo by Bill Brickley.
