We took our bikes up the inclined plane and parked up beside the newly-remodeled restaurant. Our sincere thanks to the Windber RATs for their hospitality in escorting us to and from the destination.

Chris Kepler's "3rd Annual PA Grand Canyon Ride." Our thanks to Chris Kepler for planning another  super fall ride. We had 21 bikes with 25 participants depart from the mall at 10:30AM, with a great route up Rt. 880, Rt. 144, Rt. 414, and Rt. 287. Then a group lunch at Harland's Family Restaurant, followed by a ride to the east side of the PA Grand Canyon (Leonard Harrison State Park). We arrived home at 6:15PM with 223 miles on the trip-meter. No rain, and a great day for a group ride.

12 Nov 05 (postponed from 11 Nov 05)

A sunny, chilly, but super day with four bikes. The route up involved Jacksonville Road to Mill Hall, then Rt. 150 and 220 (Brrrrrr) to Billtown. The destination was Bob Logue's Motor Sports in Williamsport to view 2 1/2 rooms full of classic Hondas, Triumphs, and a Royal Enfield (made in India). Thanks to Craig Kissell's coordination, Bob was waiting at the shop when we arrived around noon to offer a behind-the-scenes tour of the bikes - and the unique stories behind many. Bob has been collecting these bikes for 20 years - and he now has over 50 to see. We declined to buy any new or used bikes from Bob, saying that Craig would probably prefer for us to be "Lookie Lou's."

BTW, Bob also had a '67 Honda 305 Dream on display, exactly like the one Woody learned on in 1968 (see photo on 2nd row, left end). Then it was time for lunch at Heller's Family Restaurant, which was very good. We chased the afternoon sun west on Rt. 973 to Rt. 44 to Rt. 880 then Rt. 192 to Centre Hall. In Salladasburg we stopped at the General Store - where they also have great ice cream, but we were too cold to try any. They also sell rifles, so if you're packin', a sign reminds you to unload'em before entering.

The following riders participated in the 158 mile ride:
- Alan Gehringer from Hollidaysburg
- Bill Brickley (on his '84 Honda)
- John Johnston
- Woody and Ann
We got back to State College at 5:00PM, but it was worth being late (and thoroughly chilled).
