The 2011 NRR Events are included below.

Saddle up and come on along!
All brands welcome!

Participation in all Nittany Road Rider events is open to all prior and future customers of Kissell Motorsports (all brands) and their guests (with their own bike or as a passenger). Participation in all local Nittany Road Riders events is free of charge and at your own risk.

NRR events are organized by various Volunteer Coordinators for both FUN and SAFETY. Depending on the number of bikes that participate and rider interest, we try to have two groups on each ride: Sport Riders & Cruisers, one of which should provide a comfortable pace for all riders. In all cases, each rider should drive at their own pace. Please review the NRR RIDING POLICIES. Each rider and passenger must sign the Release Form (PDF) that will be available from the Ride Leader prior to each event.   Click HERE to view a 2011 reference calendar.

A decade-old event focused on the Triumph Thunderbird 3-cylinder varieties (Legend, Adventurer, Tbird, TBird Sport, etc.).  All Triumph enthusiasts are welcome (although the group prefers that at least one Classic Triple be in the entourage). Twin Valley Rally2nd Annual
TWIN VALLEY RALLY
Meadows of Dan, VA
"Twin Valley Rally brings you to the heart of the Central Appalachians of Southwest Virginia, and some of the sweetest roads in the country. This is undoubtedly the best riding area in the Appalachians that isn’t notoriously crowded, aggressively patrolled, and named for a fire-breathing serpent. We know the roads and it will be our pleasure to show you more sweet curves than a reptile has scales––all weekend long! Big Walker Mountain, Wolf Creek Turnpike, Route 16, Little River Road, Potts Mountain, Burkes Garden, and an unknown number of steep, tight, curvaceous roads whose names include the word Gap! We aim to provide you with an experience that will inspire you to return year after year – if not pull up stakes and move!"
Bill Maney and Denny Marino are heading down to this event.

RIDE ROSTER & PHOTOS
Chris Kepler's 9th Annual
"PA. GRAND CANYON RIDE"
(to Tioga Co.)
This 230-mile group ride is offered annually by Chris Kepler. The event is not sponsored by NRR, but all area riders are invited to participate.
UPDATE 19 Sept 2011:
Hi everyone. I hope your riding season has been good this year! Its that time of year again and a little less than a week away from the 9th Annual PA Grand Canyon Ride. I have been hosting now in its 9th year. We will meet at the McDonalds Parking lot at the Nittany Mall about 10:00 AM for sign up and depart promptly at 10:30 AM, so have your tank full and be ready to go! The ride will leave the McDonalds parking lot and head down Rt 64 to Lamar where we will take a right at the little pavilion park (on the right) and head back to 880 to Tylersville heading to Jersey Shore. We will pick up Rt 44 N taking us up to Waterville for our first stop. This is approx 60 miles from the McDonalds. Those who need fuel or restroom can take care of these things here. We will continue on 44 N from Waterville for a short distance and pick up Rt 414 N. NOTE: There is about a 5 mile section of 414 that is a little rough but I believe since last year they may have done some work to it but the scenery is nice and it gives anyone on a GS or V-strom, etc a little change from the nicer roads. We will follow 414 to Morris where we will pickup Rt 287 N. We will then follow 287 N to Wellsboro. Right before we get into the town of Wellsboro there is an Exxon Station on the right where we will stop to fill up with fuel as its easy in easy out. We will then continue on 287 N into Wellsboro where we will stop and eat at Harlins Family Style Restaurant located at "17 Pearl St" phone # 570-724-3311. If I remember right they do not except credit cards so bring some cash. They have good food and a salad bar which is pretty good all at a reasonable price. From the restaurant we will head back out and pick up 287 N to 660 W to 362 W which will take us up to the Pa Grand Canyon for viewing. After viewing the Canyon we will head back out 362 E and take a short cut back to 660 W which will lead us down to Rt 6 W. We will follow Rt 6 W to Galeton where we will pickup 144 S heading to Olean where we will stop for fuel and restrooms. NOTE: Last time they only had regular gas so plan accordingly. From here we will continue on 144 S to Renovo continuing on 144 S to the Sheetz at Wingate where the ride will end and we will depart. From McDonalds to the Sheetz in Wingate the ride is 230 miles. We usually reach the Sheetz anywhere from 6 -7pm depending on the time we spend along the way. Please make a copy of these directions if you think you will need them on the ride. This time of year is usually nice but can chill down some the later part of the day so dress accordingly. If there would be bad weather that day I will postpone the ride the day before or by 9am Sunday morning the day of and rechedule it for the following Sunday October 2nd. All times, routes, etc would stay the same as planned for the ride had it been held on September 25th.As in years past there have been between 8 and 25 bikes on the ride. It is open to all makes of bikes, male & female riders, experienced & new riders. I hope to see some of you there as well as new riders. If you think you will be going please let me know so I can give Harlins a heads up on how many to expect which would be around 1pm or so.  Even if you don't know until last minute come on the ride anyway as Harlins is adaptable to more, I just like to let them know what I can. Thanks! So till Sunday, have a good week, be safe, and hope to see some of you!

Tiger Ride-In Logo2011 Tiger Ride-In
Jasper, Arkansas

"We've been doing this since 2003 at our first gathering at Lake of the Ozarks, MO. 17 Riders - 17 Tigers! They came from everywhere. We have been all around the country gathering at different sites. Tiger riders and those who want to join us. We are NOT a closed group ...and everyone has a grand time.. I GUARANTEE IT!"
(c/o Jerry Moffit, Event Founder)
Jasper, Arkansas is the OFFICIAL HOME of the Tiger Ride-In. We've been going there since 2004. But we've also been to: Durango, CO, Kamiah, ID, Hiawassee, GA, Davis, WV, Wellsboro, PA, Manistique, Upper Penninsula, MI. Everywhere we go ... our people have had a grand time and most have returned from long distances like Calgary, Alberta; Central, CA; NH; NC; many from Florida & GA. They show up and say, "It's the best group of people!" We like it that way. Some of us are getting long in the tooth... but we still ride. I just completed a 3,000 mile trip up to Glacier Park and Yellowstone. Two years ago I did 1,289 miles dead-heading home from Florida. So there is still the yearning for the open road. So make plans now, we hope to see you in Jasper; Just mention you are with the Tiger group.
The HUB Hotel: 1-800-597-9963 Randall or Debbie. This is the center of everything. Restaurant is right there. They know us and treat us well. Lil Switzerland Chalets: Nancy 800-510-0691 ltlswitz@ritternet.com . Gorgeous! These are not cheap, but a group can share the costs and they are worth it. Nancy is a long time friend of the Tiger family. Shady Oak Campground: Terri (870) 743-2343 shadyoaks@cox.net  . Long time attendees know Terri and Shady Oak Campground. She's the best. If you cannot find something... contact me (Jerry Moffit): ridergroup@cox.net . PLEEEZE let me know if you are attending!

The Connie2nd Annual
STN Region 6 Campout

FROM CHRIS CLARK:
Just passing this along since we had such a good time last year. One group site is already full and a second will most likely open up shortly.
The Plan: Spend a weekend camping near great riding roads in WV. Ride during the day, hang around the campfire at night eating, drinking and swappinglies stories. I will be onsite early Friday afternoon to get the Group F campground taken care of. Arrive whenever you can, stay as long as you like.
When:
Friday October 21 - Sunday October 23rd. There will be no raindate.
Where: Seneca Shadows Campground near Seneca Rocks, WV Campsites: I have reserved the "Group F" campsite as our "home base" which can accomodate up to 20 people, but only has 5 tent pads (all tents must be on tent pads). It looks like you can have 2 tents per pad if they are not too big. If we get enough people another group site can be reserved, or people can just reserve regular sites and gather at the Group F "home base" for cooking/drinking/swapping lies around the fire. If you want to stay in the group site post up and I'll add you to the list. It will be $64/night divided by how many people we can get on the site. Group F campers will reimburse me via PayPal or check one week before the campout. Regular campsites are $13 - $19/night depending on location. The large group of "walk-in" sites are supposed to have good views of Seneca Rocks. Those not staying in the group site should make their own reservations.
Food: I don't normally cook while camping, so if you do here's your chance to shine. Our group site has 5 grills and 5 fire rings, so there will be ample room for food prep. I'm sure we can work out some collection of money for the chef(s). Nearby Restaurants: Front Porch Restaurant and Harper's General Store are nearby. If anyone knows of more post up and I'll add them. Motels: (for those not wishing to camp). Again, I don't know the area too well. If anyone knows of lodging nearby add it to the thread.
Alcohol: We had no problem last year with drinking at the site, but you should plan on keeping a low profile. Don't ride in with 2 cases of Yuengling on your seat and we should be good. A decent selection of cold beer is available at the nearby country store.
