 Depart from Kissell's at 11:15
AM via Rt. 26 South to Science Park Road, to Valley Vista, to
Circleville Road, to Scotia Road, to Meeks Lane, to 550 South. At
Centennial, bear right and go over the mountain to Port Matilda and to Lyken's Market at Rt. 322 West
(at the traffic signal).
(1) Meet Event Leader Chris Kepler (and other interested riders) at Lykens Market
(intersection of 322 & 220) in Port Matilda at 11:45 AM for
Waiver Sign-ups, then depart at noon.
(2) Take Rt 322 West with
possible stops at Sheetz in Philipsburg and/or Clearfield to
meet other riders who want to go but don't want to backtrack.
(3) After the fuel stop at
the Clearfield Sheetz, we continue on 322 West to.....
(4) Rt. 153 North to
Penfield to.....
(5) Rt. 255 East to Weedville
to .....
(6) Rt. 555 East to Benezette. Once
in Benezette you will turn left (gas station on right)
onto Winslow Hill Road toward the Winslow Hill Elk
Viewing Area.
We will stop to eat lunch at the Elk View Diner, 56 Winslow Hill
Rd, Benezette, PA 15821, (814) 787-4011.
(7) After lunch, continue
past diner on Winslow Hill Road returning to Rt. 555 East to.....
(8) Rt.120 South to the
Willows Tavern (on left) turning right, crossing the iron
bridge, going up Wykoff Run to.....
(9) Rt 879 South (turn left)
to a left turn by the PennDOT yard, which takes you through Karthus
and Pine Glen to.....
(10) Rt. 144 South thru Snow Shoe
to the Sheetz in Wingate.
End of ride about 4:30 PM,
approximately 150 miles.
